Ten Outfits with Ten Variations of Summer Sandals
Summer is in full swing and sandals should be too. Brown toned sandals, Neutrals and metallics are my favorite in summer because they are flattering and more versatile than a black sandal. In the summertime our clothes are light and airy, skirts and dresses are easy and cool, and with color we lean towards whites, beiges, bright colors, and more prints as opposed to black.
This post are examples of different styles of sandals and what to wear with them.
#1. Calvin Klein Vanilla Sexy Heels- Neutral Heels that go great with prints and bright colors. These are saved for going out to dinner, Happy Hour and Special Events.
#2 Banana Republic Cognac Strappy Heel. A little heavy on the straps so I like these with pants. I feel if I wore these with a skirt or dress it would over take my short petite legs. These are suitable for work and going out for a casual nite.
#3 Beverly Freedman Tri Metallic Leaf Heeled Slingback. These are so gorgeous and elegant. Pairing them with something simple shows off the shoes. I think they would also look fabulous with a great pair of jeans and white blouse.
#4 Banana Republic Dark Brown Wedge with Thin Straps. Great for work and comfortable to wear all day. Very Feminine and the thin straps are flattering to the foot.
#5 Stuart Weitzman Patent Taupe Lucite Heeled Platform. Edgy, Sexy and definitely a standout shoe. These are great because the transparency allows them to go with everything. I paired them with this dress because of the full volume at the bottom of the dress. The lucite platform balances out the weight without being to chunky or heavy.
#6 Nine West Metallic Flat Sandal . Very functional along with pretty. The two toned flat sandal is a work staple along with lounging on the weekends and casual attire.
#7 Antonio Melani Beige Strappy thick heeled Sandal .These are so comfortable and the light beige goes with everything. When I work with clients I seem to pick these to wear, and I am not limping home at the end of the day!
#8Joan and David Cream Leather Sandal. This sandal looks great with pants and dressy shorts, I even wear them with my cutoff denim shorts with a blazer. It covers a lot of the foot which can be overpowering but because of the color it is still quite flattering.
#9 Rock Port Cognac Brown Thong Style Sandal These go to sandals have a sportiness to them so I like to pair them with more classic styles and simple outfits. It is a dressed up leather version of a flip flop.
#10 Teva Brown Sport Sandal. Last but not least my workhorse sandal. I walk the dogs everyday in these. I like the little wedge and not too clunky of a "comfortable walking sandal". Instead of a big chunky tennis shoe, I prefer these for long walks in the summer.
